Quality and working life of our LEDs
Our entire range comes with a 2-year guarantee.
In most applications, a shop sign usually works at night, i.e. for about 3000 hours a year. A 2-year guarantee (i.e. 18,000 hours) is therefore the equivalent of six years’ working life. Domino Sign enables you to provide your customers with a meter that reckons that exact number of hours’ use of the LEDs. This simple device enables you to keep accurate records with your customers from one year to the next.
On the basis of our experience in the use of LED lighting systems, we have defined two obligations that will lengthen the working life of your LEDs:
1. Always ventilate a sign that incorporates LED modules. As a minimum, this ventilation must be mechanical (simple holes) or, if necessary, an electric fan may be used.
2. Daily usage of the sign must not exceed 8 to 10 hours non-stop. Some of the components inside the LEDs will deteriorate prematurely if they are left on all the time.
